Institute of Energetic Healing: past to present

In 2002, with the encouragement and assistance of those who privately studied with Doreen Mary Bray, the Institute of Energetic Healing was founded. Her knowledge, vision and guidance offered an atmosphere that encouraged a profound evolution for those who came to study. Within a year the student body had grown to an average of 300.

By 2003 a curriculum had developed and was approved by The National Naturopath Association, which is now known as OCPNN. Programs were offered to obtain certificates in Basic Energetic Anatomy and Therapies and the first of Master’s Diplomas in Quebec began at the Institute of Energetic Healing for Energetic Anatomy as well as Shamanistic programs.

Then, in the fall of 2005, for those unable to attend the weekly classes, Doreen Mary Bray designed and developed a monthly program of Energetic Anatomy. These classes were being held as intensive weekend workshops that met once a month. These weekend workshops were very successful allowing adequate time for thought patterns and physical transformations to actualize. The monthly program also provided the opportunity for students who lived out of town to participate.

By 2006 the Institute of Energetic Healing had received recognition from the Quebec and Canadian Governments as a certified Educational Institution. This allowed the students to receive validated tuition receipts as well as it added credibility to the functioning of the school.

Students gathered weekly and experienced higher levels of learning and as each semester passed, the lectures and meditations brought them into an empowered journey of personal growth and development. Some who came to the Institute where already certified Professionals, such as Dentists, Nurses, Doctors and Physical Therapists. For students who were already certified as health practitioners, the purpose was to obtain a deeper understanding of themselves and thereby enabling a greater connection to their clients within their own practices. The curriculum required students continue their intensive studies in the summer months by attending retreat/workshops in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec. The 5 day and 4 night full program retreats propelled the students into higher frequencies of reality thereby initiating a deeper level of spiritual evolution. Friendships were formed with bonds that would last a lifetime. Although the retreats were designed for the more advanced students, they have now become available to others who are on the journey of personal healing. Anyone is welcomed to attend, whether seeking accreditation or not. Since the school began, many have graduated with certificates in the basic 500-hour Energetic Anatomy program. Some more devoted students have continued their studies with determination to go beyond anyone else and graduate The Institute of Energetic Healing 1,200 hour Energetic Anatomy or Shamanistic Master’s Diploma. For all students, regardless of their background, the deeper knowledge of self and healing brings forth positive changes in their everyday lives.

 

In 2009, Doreen Mary Bray brought her Energetic Anatomy class to the world by launching her Level 1 class online. This enabled Doreen and her students to transcend geographical boundaries and brought unprecedented access to her teachings. The natural evolution of the online curriculum of the school will bring subsequent levels of the Energetic Anatomy program to be accessible to the four corners of the globe. The Institute for Energetic healing is thus well on it’s way to empowering people regardless of distance, to heal and positively make a difference in the world we all share.

Since the beginning of her teachings, Doreen’s students and their families continue to gather in joy, sharing their stories and experiences, whether for a Holiday Celebration or a backyard meditation. Today, the student body continues to evolve in intimate class settings, at intensive retreats, various workshops, meditation and yoga gatherings, as well as an online community with a growing number of participants and contributors. Doreen Mary Bray, through her devotion to help people heal has and continues to seek and solidify new pathways to reach people throughout the planet.

Over the years, many outdoor Shamanic and Aboriginal types of ceremonies have taken place and are considered an integral part of the Institute for Energetic Healing curriculum. These are designed to offer students, their family and friends unique experiences that call forth from their depths the healing potential within themselves. During a Medicine wheel retreat/workshop, many have found and understood the meaning of their place on the wheel of life, or as Native American’s call it, the medicine wheel. Then in ceremonial tradition represented their newfound alliance as they danced, chanted and rattled their way around the medicine wheel to the sounds of Mother Earth’s heartbeat being drummed by Doreen Mary Bray. The sweat lodge ceremonies have also had a great impact on the evolution of the participants: the experience encourages great metamorphosis under the guidance of Ms. Bray’s guided meditations. Additionally, weekly prayer circles were formed as students, friends and families gathered to offer prayers and healing to anyone who requested it.
